They diagnose and treat conditions affecting the abdomen and its contents (esophagus, stomach, small/large intestines, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and appendix); diseases involving the skin, breast and soft tissue; and conditions affecting the endocrine system, including the thyroid gland.
