Privacy Policy

1. Introduction 

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Advocare, LLC (“Advocare,” “us,” “our,” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information from or about you through the websites we maintain that link to this Policy, (collectively, the “Sites”). 

This Policy does not apply to other online services, such as websites and mobile applications, that we own, provide, or maintain, but do not post a link to this Policy.

This Policy also does not apply to protected health information that we collect from individuals pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). Additional information regarding our privacy practices with respect to protected health information under HIPAA can be found in the Notice of Privacy Practices provided to you at the time of collection.


2. What Personal Information is Collected 

We may obtain personal information through the Sites, such as when you register for events, sign up to volunteer, or apply for a position through our career portal. Generally, we may collect certain contact information, such as name, email address, postal address, or phone number from visitors to the Sites. If you apply for a job, we may collect your demographic information, educational background, work experience, and information about certifications and licensure.


3. Cookies and Other Similar Technologies 

We or our vendors may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technologies on certain webpages or locations of the Sites for various purposes, including to provide functionality of the Sites, to improve performance of the Sites, to analyze and better understand how the Sites are being used, and for marketing purposes. These technologies may collect certain information, such as device identifiers, your IP address, other unique identifiers, all the areas within the Sites that you visit, and the length and time of the visit.

Please note that we or other parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different devices and online properties when you use the Sites. We may implement data modification and distortion tools that operate as an intermediary between our Sites and third-party technologies. These tools allow us the ability to adjust how such third-party technologies interact with our Sites.


4. How Personal Information is Used and Disclosed

We may use and disclose the personal information collected through the Sites for various purposes, including to communicate with you and to fulfill your requests, such as to process your job application or event registration. We may also use the personal information we collect to facilitate and personalize your user experience, monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities of visitors, take certain action regarding any suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity or activity that violates our polices, comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and legal processes.

Advocare may disclose personal information we have collected through the Sites to our vendors. For example, we may use service providers to help us operationally or to administer activities on our behalf, such as processing your job applications.

In addition, we may use or disclose personal information in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business assets (e.g., further to a merger, liquidation, reorganization, or any other business transaction, including negotiations of such transactions). We may also disclose personal information at your direction. 

Advocare also may use or disclose your personal information: (1) to comply with legal requirements (for example, to respond to court orders, subpoenas, government or law enforcement agency requests, or other legal processes); (2) to protect or defend Advocare; (3) where we perceive a threat or risk to individuals or property as a result of activity on our Sites; or (4) in connection with their inappropriate use of our Sites, noncompliance with our Terms of Use, or a complaint filed about your use of our Sites. 


5. Data Security 

We use a variety of information security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no means of electronic or physical storage is absolutely secure. As such, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us electronically. 


6. Links and Interactive Features

When using the Sites, you may come across links or interactive features related to third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control. If you provide your personal information to that third party through its websites or services, you will be subject to that third party’s privacy practices, policies, and terms of use. This includes any online services operated by our vendors that provide us your personal information at your direction (such as certain portals or features provided by a vendor). For example, certain third-party interactive features may allow you to share Sites content to your social media profile. This Policy does not apply to any personal information that you provide to a third-party website or service.


7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

This Policy is subject to change at our discretion. We will notify you of changes to this Policy by posting an updated version on our Sites and updated the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. If we materially change this Policy, we will provide you additional notice of such material changes in a method reasonably related to your interactions with us. Any changes to this Policy will be effective as of the “Effective Date” date at the top of this page, unless otherwise expressly indicated.
